Birth Preparedness Consultations
These private phone, chat room or in-person consultations are in addition to your prenatal childbirth education and are what I offer during prenatal appointments with doula clients.
This is an affordable opportunity to gain confidence, knowledge and skill from an experienced doula to take into your labor, delivery, and postpartum.
For $120 the 2 two hour consults may include to your need:
- Birth plan preparation
- Communication skills and role play
- What to put in your birth bag
- Comfort measures and coping techniques
- Risk/benefits of medications and interventions
- Defining roles and expectations
- Addressing specific needs for birth and postpartum
- Labor practice
- Much about the newborn
- Postpartum planning
Lending library of movies and books available upon request. Homework may be assigned to help further prepare you. Additional visits, phone or online consults available at $25 per hour.
