Placenta Encapsulation
Postpartum placental ingestion (placentophagy) is seen as a natural medicinal therapy to support lactation, healthy mood/emotional well being, ease healing and recovery, improve energy levels, improve sleep, boost immune system and hormone balancing for the mother. It has been widely used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for thousands of years as Zi He Che for lactation increase and by many cultures around the world for restorative or healing effects for postpartum women.
METHOD AND STEPS
The method I use is the cooked or TCM method. The placenta is rinsed, steamed, sliced thinly, dried, crushed then encapsulated. The expected yield is between 75-150 vegan gel capped pills. If you want a specific recipe used or the raw method where steaming is not done prior to drying I can accommodate those desires.
Within the Colorado Springs area, I will pick up from your house, hospital or receive your placenta within 24 hours of birth. The process takes place in my home, however upon request it can be done in your home. You can expect to receive your pills depending on my workload generally within 24 hours with an outside time frame of 72 hours.
ADDITIONAL:
Placenta needs to be placed in a food grade container and kept on ice or in refrigerator(not freezer) for pickup within 24 hours of birth;
Placenta cannot be subject to any lab testing or chemicals prior to encapsulation.
