Tiffany Miller: Home Birth Midwife

Tiffany Miller, holding a newborn baby after a birth.

As most women do, I wear many hats. Colorado Springs midwife is one of them. However, wife, mother, and homemaker are my fanciest hats. Considered a bit of a nerd, I am an avid reader, a coffee-lover, and a Christian.

I’m not a Colorado native, but I got here as fast as I could! My family has called Colorado Springs home for 14 years. I truly love this area, and the people who make up our community here.

I gave birth to four beautiful tiny humans under the care of midwives. Two were born on the east coast, and two right here in the Springs. Midwives have played such key roles in my own care, that I desired to become a midwife myself. If it weren’t for the care I received, I would never have had such positive experiences.

I decided to pursue midwifery soon after my youngest was born. Becoming a labor doula was the first step. I fell in love! Soon after, I became a childbirth educator. For a short time, I also trained others to become childbirth educators themselves. Teaching has been, and still is, the foundation for all my work.

Beginning in September 2014, I began my apprenticeship as a candidate for Certified Professional Midwife (CPM). This process takes place through the North American Registry of Midwives Portfolio Evaluation Process (NARM-PEP). The bulk of my training has been under Desirre Andrews CPM, RM.

A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into preparing for my NARM exam. Recently, I was thrilled and honored to find out that I had passed! I have been fully credentialed as a CPM and licensed to practice direct-entry midwifery in Colorado since December of 2018.

I have several openings for new clients in 2019 and 2020. If you are considering a home birth, contact me by clicking the link below. It’s free to chat!
